Once in a Blue Moon...

I'm trying to think of what to make next. I know, I know, I have way too many projects to finish before I move on. That's just too bad. Tonight is the 2nd full moon of this month which makes it a Blue Moon! I have to create something special for this occasion. I was thinking something with this yarn. It is a very soft cotton/acrylic blend. Hmmm what to make with it?

Well, it will come to me. In the meantime, check out the awesome work by Lunamom. I love these moon boxes. How appropriate for today!

Has anyone heard of this full moon ritual or superstition? You are to take an empty purse and shake it at the full moon and say "Fill it! Fill it! Fill it!" I have tried it before and my kids just laugh. I can't say if it works or not. I can still pay my phone bill! Good luck and have a wonderful Blue Moon!

Lazy Days of Summer

I am feeling the heat! It has been quite hot this past week, but it's supposed to cool off for awhile and get back to Spring-like weather. I am waiting for cooler temps to get the rest of my garden planted. I have tomato, pepper, broccoli and herb plants ready to go.

Check out this awesome Market Bag I listed today! I love the color and the design is perfect. It will hold a little or a LOT. No, I didn't have time for a pedicure before I played with my camera. Sorry.

P.S. - Happy Birthday to Brooke at gemmafactrix!

Oh, I've been tagged!?

I've been tagged by Bonny Jewelry and I had to ask her, "what does that mean, exactly?" The blog and it's communities as a whole are new to me, but it is fascinating to read about other people and how their creative minds work.

So, 7 random things about me, LazyT....
Well, #1 would be that I'm not really lazy. I love being at home, so I suppose I'm perceived as being lazy. I used to think I had to justify what all I did every day. But, I'll show you a relatively clean house, food from the garden and a happy family. There you go.

2...I love dark chocolate and the color black. Yes, I know. I've been told that black isn't a color. It's what I love to wear though.

3...I love Etsy and how I can create anything I want and it will be appreciated by someone! I don't like jewelry much. I tolerate it and give it the 'oohs and aahs' it's creators deserve. But I don't wear it very often...sorry.

4...Running with my dog, Coco, is one of my favorite things to do lately. There's a rail-to-trail path that is quite peaceful. I used to like camping in nature, but I can do without the tent now. Oh, and this one includes my love for my iPod Nano, because my cd player used to skip and be useless for a run!

5...Music for me is anything but country! I like the old-timey Bluegrass and Prairie Home Companion, but not that country twang. I'm a head-banger though, really. Give me Metallica or new alt. rock and turn it up. I can listen to my daughter's pop, just to hear her sing : )

6...Gardening is a lot of work, but it's so worth it, I think. I tilled the garden last week and planted rabbit poop with lettuce and spinach, yum! My hubby helps when he has time. We'll plant lots of tomatoes, broccoli, peppers and beans.

7....My kids keep me going. They are the greatest! Straight-A students that have never missed the honor roll. That sure makes me proud! What 9 and 12 year-old kids do you know that quote Monty Python and watch the Colbert Report?!

Hey, I did it. Now I'm supposed to tag others to do the same.
So, forgive me if it's not your thing, but I'll tag:
