Happy New Year!

Tomorrow is the start of the Chinese New Year, or Lunar New Year. This will be the Year of the Rat, thus ending the Year of the Pig.
It is believed that people born in the year of the Rat are to be considered clever, hard-working, quick and sociable.
(Visit Ramona's Etsy shop to get your very own Chinese Zodiac pendant!)

I must admit....I never thought rats were cute until I saw this one!! This is "Nate - the American rat celebrating the Chinese New Year." Visit Cherise's shop to see what this Crafty Burrito is up to next!

I'm proud to be born in the Year of the Dragon. It is said that people born in the year of the dragon have a natural charisma and are gifted with power and luck. Hey! I could use a little luck!

Here's a great Chinese New Year site for kids of all ages. It has lots of great information, stories, games, crafts, and even recipes!
