Want to play a game?
I got an email from the gaming site, Pogo, announcing that you can play some premium games for free this week. One of my favorites is called Lottso! It's kind of like a scratch-off lottery game, but fast and fun. Club Pogo lets you play without seeing the ads, but it is a bit expensive. If you are really into gaming everyday, that may be just for you.
At Pogo you can play lots of classic board games like chess or backgammon, card games including many forms of solitaire and poker, casino-type games, puzzles, and word games, including Scrabble and Pogo's famous Word Whomp. They have some fun Halloween slots and other holiday-related games and contests.
You can have free access to some Club Pogo games now through October 20th. The membership fee for access to all Club Pogo games is $39.99 a year. I'm not there very often since this is the start of the busy season for my boutique, but you can add me as a friend if you'd like. My screen name is triciah20_ (that's twenty underscore). If you're friends with someone, you can see what game they're playing and even join them in that particular room.
Another fun gaming site is BingoNet. I used to play bingo every day for hours...yes, really I did! It costs $34.95 for three months of play. You get a $10 Walmart gift card for signing up. They have a lot of fun flash games to choose from, plus tournament play for extra prizes. You can cash in your winnings in exchange for gift cards. It has been a long time since I've played there, but it looks like it's still going strong. It is fun if you like bingo.
I still find knitting relaxing, but sometimes, when I'm knitting for the shop, it's more like work. Online games can be fun and give you a chance to meet new people, but they can also be addicting. I just might pop in to Pogo and play Scrabble for awhile (a short while).
